Syngonium 'Pink Splash'

  • The Syngonium podophyllum 'Pink Splash' is a stunning and popular cultivar of the Arrowhead Plant. It is a climbing or trailing vine, commonly grown as a houseplant for its attractive leaves. The parent species, Syngonium podophyllum, is native to the tropical rainforests of Southern Mexico, Central and South America (including Panama and the West Indies).

The leaves are arrowhead (sagittate) shaped and display an eye-catching mix of light green with striking sectoral splashes and flecks of bright pink variegation. This pink color is typically most pronounced in newer leaves.

  • Bright, indirect light is essential for maintaining the vibrant pink variegation. Too little light will cause the pink to fade and the leaves to revert to solid green.

Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil is dry to the touch. Water thoroughly until it drains from the bottom, then discard excess water.

A substrate rich in organic matter that retains some moisture but drains quickly.

This plant should be fertilized once during the growing season (spring/summer) with diluted houseplant fertilizer.
