Hoya Rope Plant

  • The Hoya Rope Plant, often affectionately called the Hindu Rope Plant or Krinkle Kurl, is a unique and sought-after cultivar of the popular Wax Plant, Hoya Carnosa.

The Hoya Rope Plant is a semi-succulent, vining houseplant treasured for its unique foliage. Its leaves are thick, waxy, and have a distinctly curled, twisted, and contorted appearance, giving the vines the look of thick, green, draped rope.

It produces dense clusters of small, star-shaped, waxy flowers. The flowers are typically creamy white or light pink, with a dark pink or red center. The blooms are known for their sweet, sometimes strong, fragrance, which is most noticeable in the evening.

  • Bright, Indirect Light.

Water deeply but infrequently. Allow the top 1 to 2 inches of soil to completely dry out before watering again.

Use a chunky, airy, and well-draining potting mix.

The plant prefers warm, consistent temperatures between 60°F and 85°F (15°C - 29°C).
