Aeonium lancerottense

  • Aeonium lancerottense is a branching succulent that forms rosettes of smooth, green leaves on upright stems. The rosettes stay fairly compact, while the stems can grow taller over time and create a small shrub-like shape. In the right season, mature plants may send up tall flower stalks with clusters of small yellow blooms.
This plant grows best in bright sunlight with well-draining soil and infrequent watering. It grows mainly during the cooler months and slows down in summer, needing less water during that time. It is easy to propagate from stem cuttings, which root readily and help the plant stay full and well-shaped.

  •  Bright Indoor Light, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.

Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
