Braided Snake Plant Sansevieria

  • The Braided Snake Plant (scientifically known as Sansevieria cylindrica or Dracaena angolensis) is a striking, sculptural version of the classic houseplant.

This plant is native to the arid regions of Tropical West Africa (specifically Nigeria and the Congo), these plants are built for survival. In their natural habitat, they grow in rocky, dry environments, which is why they are so famously difficult to kill in a home setting.

Beyond its braided aesthetic, the Snake Plant is a powerhouse air purifier. It is one of the few plants that performs Crassulacean Acid Metabolism (CAM), meaning it absorbs carbon dioxide and releases fresh oxygen at night, making it the perfect bedroom companion.

  • Thrives in bright, indirect light but is famous for surviving in low-light corners.

    Well-draining soil.

Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. In winter, you may only need to water once a month.
