Semponium 'Diamond'
-
Semponium ‘Diamond’ forms very neat, symmetrical rosettes in a bright lime-green color, with bold red edges that become stronger in full sun. The rosettes are clean and architectural, combining a modern look with strong color contrast. As the plant matures, it develops many rosettes on branching stems, creating a full, bushy shape that can reach about 40 cm in both height and width.
This hybrid grows steadily and becomes more impressive with age as new heads continue to form. It keeps its structure well and works beautifully as a focal plant in containers or rock gardens. Semponium ‘Diamond’ is also easy to propagate from stem cuttings, allowing it to be multiplied once mature.
-
Filtered / Partial Sun, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 50%-75% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
