Sempervivum 'Twilight Blues'

Product image 1

Sempervivum 'Twilight Blues'

  • Sempervivum ‘Twilight Blues’ forms a large, elegant rosette with cool silvery blue-green leaves. The foliage often shows soft, wavy “watermark” patterns from its natural wax coating. With strong sun, dry conditions, or cool weather, the rosette develops beautiful shades of pink to deep burgundy that contrast with the pale blue base color.
This variety grows steadily through spring and summer and produces many small offsets, often called “chicks,” that spread on short stolons and form neat clusters over time. It is an easy plant to grow outdoors in sunny locations with gritty, well-draining soil. Offsets can be left to create a dense mat or separated and replanted to grow new plants.

  • Filtered / Partial Sun, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.

Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
