  •  Sempervivum ‘Stefan’ forms a compact rosette with bright lime green leaves blended with bronze-red tones. The colors create a warm contrast, especially when grown in strong light. The rosettes stay close together, giving the plant a dense, tidy look. This hybrid combines traits from Sempervivum heuffelii ‘Bronze Ingot’ and Sempervivum globiferum.                                                                                                                                                                
    This variety grows most actively in spring and summer and produces many offsets during the growing season. The chicks stay close to the main rosette, forming a tight clump over time. Mature rosettes may send up a flower stalk after several years. Propagation is simple by dividing and separating the clustered rosettes, making it easy to expand or share the plant.

    Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.

    Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
