Sempervivum 'Sea Foam'
-
Sempervivum ‘Sea Foam’ is a clumping rosette with fresh lime green leaves and bright cherry red highlights. The leaf edges are lined with fine, silvery cilia that give the plant a soft, frosted look. The amount of these tiny hairs can change depending on how much sunlight the plant receives, adding extra texture and detail.
This variety produces offsets very frequently, forming a dense cluster of rosettes over time. It grows mainly in spring and summer and may send up a flower stalk when mature. Like other Sempervivum, it is very cold hardy and thrives outdoors in full sun with gritty, well-draining soil. -
Filtered / Partial Sun, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
