Sempervivum 'Red Rubin'

  •  Sempervivum ‘Red Rubin’ forms a striking rosette with a glowing red center surrounded by silvery green outer leaves. Fine, light hairs line the edges of the leaves, adding a soft texture. In winter, the entire rosette can turn a deep burgundy color, creating a bold seasonal display.
This plant grows actively in spring and summer and is a prolific producer of offsets, often called “chicks.” Over time, these offsets spread around the main rosette to form a dense, colorful cluster that becomes fuller each year.

  • Bright Indoor Light, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.

Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
