Sempervivum 'Red Nails'

  • Sempervivum ‘Red Nails’ is a charming, small rosette that blends fresh spring green with soft pink tones. The leaf tips often show deeper pink to red highlights, giving the plant its name. A light webbing across the center adds delicate texture and detail to its compact, symmetrical shape.
This variety grows actively in spring and summer and produces many offsets each spring, forming a tidy cluster over time. A mature rosette may also send up a flower stalk during the growing season. Like other Sempervivum, it is very cold hardy and thrives outdoors in full sun with gritty, well-draining soil.

  • Filtered / Partial Sun, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.

Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
