Sempervivum 'Oscularis'
-
Sempervivum oscularis forms small, tight rosettes in a bright emerald-green color. The leaf tips are edged with fine, white, cobweb-like hairs that give the plant a soft, fuzzy texture and a slightly whimsical look. The rosettes are symmetrical and compact, making them especially attractive when grown in groups.
This plant grows actively in spring and summer and produces many offsets, or “chicks,” around the main rosette. Over time, these offsets spread and connect to form dense, low-growing colonies. Growth slows in winter, but the plant keeps its shape and texture throughout the year.
-
Filtered / Partial Sun, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 50%-75% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
