Sempervivum marmoreum f/ Kazan Gorge
-
Sempervivum marmoreum f. ‘Kazan Gorge’ is a strong, compact plant with a bold rosette shape. The center is bright green, while the outer leaves are tipped with deep plum purple, creating a rich color contrast. The leaves are firm and slightly pointed, giving the plant a solid, hardy look. As it grows, it produces many offsets and can form a large, dense mound.
This plant grows most actively during spring and summer. It produces many small offsets, often called “chicks,” which spread around the main plant and help it expand over time. Sempervivum is very cold-tolerant and can slow down in winter, then resume growth when warmer weather returns.
-
Filtered / Partial Sun, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 50%-70% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
Non-toxic to dogs, cats, and horses (Pet-friendly).
