Sempervivum 'Larissa'

  • Ā Sempervivum ā€˜Larissa’ (Smits) is a truly charming hens-and-chicks variety, loved for its soft rosy tones and beautiful form. Its rosettes blend shades of red and green, sometimes kissed with a hint of orange, creating a warm, eye-catching look. The long, chunky leaves often grow slightly upright and are finished with a delicate fringe of tiny cilia, adding extra texture and character.
    Ā
Ā Like all Sempervivum, ā€˜Larissa’ loves plenty of outdoor sunlight to bring out its best colors and keep its rosettes compact and neat. It thrives in gritty, well-draining soil and containers with proper drainage. Over time, it produces adorable offsets, or ā€œchicks,ā€ on stolons. You can leave them to form tidy clusters or gently remove and replant them to share the love.

  • Filtered / Partial Sun, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 50%-70% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.

Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings.Ā Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.

Non-toxic to dogs, cats, and horses (Pet-friendly).
