Sempervivum heuffelii 'Toronto'

  • Sempervivum heuffelii ‘Toronto’ forms a neat, symmetrical rosette with deep wine red leaves that create a strong splash of color in the garden. The rich tones stay vibrant through the seasons, making it a striking accent among rock garden plants or hardy succulents.
This variety grows by slowly dividing into new rosettes that cluster tightly together over time. These rosettes can be separated and replanted or left to form a dense clump. It grows best outdoors in sunny locations with excellent drainage and occasional watering during the spring and summer growing season.

  •  Filtered / Partial Sun, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.

Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
