Sempervivum heuffelii 'Bermuda'
-
Sempervivum heuffelii ‘Bermuda’ (Ford) forms a sweet, color changing rosette with bright white leaf margins that seem to glow. Through the seasons, its colors shift from blue green to soft pink, then deepen into rich purple. In cold winter weather, the rosette can turn fully purple, creating a bold seasonal look.
Sempervivum heuffelii come from mountainous regions of Europe and are known for their strong structure and long lasting color. Unlike many Sempervivum that spread by runners, heuffelii varieties grow by dividing at the center, slowly forming tidy clusters of new rosettes over time.
-
Full sun to partial sun
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 50%-70% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
Non-toxic to dogs, cats, and horses (Pet-friendly).
