Sempervivum 'Butterfly'

  •  Sempervivum ‘Butterfly’ (Skrocki) grows into a small, fuzzy rosette with soft white hairs along the leaf edges, giving it a cute and cozy look. Its colors change through the year, shifting between fresh green and deep burgundy, which adds gentle seasonal interest. The rosette stays naturally compact and full.

Sempervivum are tough alpine succulents that slowly form clusters of little rosettes. Unlike heuffelii types, this variety produces baby plants on thin stems, which gather into tight clumps over time. With its small size, rich colors, and soft fringe, ‘Butterfly’ stands out beautifully in rock gardens and sunny outdoor spaces.

  • Full sun to partial sun

Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 50%-70% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.

Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.

Non-toxic to dogs, cats, and horses (Pet-friendly).
