Sempervivum 'Boule de Neige'
-
Sempervivum ‘Boule de Neige’ forms tight, symmetrical rosettes with a soft, silvery look that gives it a snowy appearance. The leaves are neatly layered and may show pale tones that brighten in strong light. Its compact shape and cool coloring make it especially attractive in rock gardens or shallow containers.
This variety grows actively in spring and summer and produces offsets, or “chicks,” around the base. Over time, these offsets spread to form a dense, low-growing mat. It keeps its form through winter and is highly tolerant of cold conditions, making it a reliable and long-lasting garden plant.
-
Filtered / Partial Sun, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
