Sempervivum ‘Black’ forms a tight rosette with bright green leaves tipped in deep maroon. In colder months, the plant darkens to rich black-purple tones, creating a dramatic look. As temperatures warm in spring, the colors shift again, showing rusty red shades around a fresh lime-green center.
This plant grows actively during spring and summer and produces offsets regularly. These offsets spread around the main rosette, allowing it to slowly form a dense, well-defined clump. Growth slows in winter, but the plant remains strong and long-lived.
