Sempervivum arachnoideum 'Robin'
-
Sempervivum arachnoideum ‘Robin’ forms small rosettes covered with delicate white webbing and soft rosy tones. The green base color can flush bright pink in spring, especially when grown with morning sun. The fine webbing across the rosette gives the plant a light, frosted appearance.
This variety produces many offsets on short stolons, allowing it to spread and form neat clusters over time. It grows mainly in spring and summer and may send up a flower stalk when mature. It grows best outdoors in sunny locations with gritty, well-draining soil, where the offsets can create a lovely cascading mat among rocks. -
Filtered / Partial Sun, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
