Sempervivum arachnoideum f/ Val Miniera
-
Sempervivum arachnoideum f. ‘Val Miniera’ is a small, compact rosette with a unique, fuzzy look. The green leaves are tightly packed and covered with fine, white, web-like hairs that give the plant a soft, woolly appearance. Each rosette stays quite small, but together they create a delicate and eye-catching texture.
This plant grows actively in spring and summer and produces many small offsets, often called “chicks.” Over time, these offsets spread around the main plant and form a dense, cushion-like colony. Growth slows during colder periods, but the plant remains hardy and long-lived.
-
Filtered / Partial Sun, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 50%-75% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
