Sempervivum 'Adeltruid'
-
Sempervivum ‘Adeltruid’ forms a compact rosette with leaves that shift between burgundy and green tones. In bright sunlight, pale “watermark” bands appear across the leaf surfaces, creating a subtle striped pattern that adds extra visual interest. The rosette stays tight and well shaped, with smooth, slightly pointed leaves.
This plant grows most actively in spring and summer and produces offsets at a moderate rate. Over time, these offsets spread around the main rosette to form a neat, low-growing mat. Growth slows in winter, but the plant keeps its structure and seasonal color changes throughout the year.
-
Bright Indoor Light, Filtered / Partial Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
