Sedum reflexum 'Spanish Blue Select'

  • Sedum reflexum ‘Spanish Blue Select’ is a hardy ground cover with slender, needle-like leaves in a soft powder blue color. The foliage forms dense mats that spread steadily across the soil and can also spill gently over the edges of containers. Its cool blue tone adds contrast in rock gardens and succulent arrangements.
This variety grows actively during the warmer seasons and can produce small yellow flowers. It spreads by branching stems and is easy to propagate by cutting and replanting a short piece of stem. ‘Spanish Blue Select’ grows best outdoors in full sun with gritty, well-draining soil and occasional watering while establishing.

  • Full sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.

Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
