Sedum Clavatum

  •  Sedum clavatum (Clausen) is a beautiful, easygoing succulent with plump blue-green rosettes finished with soft pink tips. Native to the cliffsides of Central Mexico, this species naturally trails along thick stems that can grow up to 8 inches long, creating a relaxed, cascading look that works especially well in hanging baskets or shallow planters.

Each rosette is coated in a fine layer of farina, giving the plant a smooth, powdery finish and helping protect it from intense sun. During the warmer months, the rosettes may develop a gentle pink blush, especially with bright light exposure. With its spreading growth habit, Sedum clavatum can be left to trail freely or easily pruned and replanted to maintain a fuller, more compact shape.

  • Bright Indoor Light, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 50%-70% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.

Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.

Non-toxic to dogs, cats, and horses (Pet-friendly).
