Sedum album 'Coral Carpet'

  • Sedum album ‘Coral Carpet’ forms dense, low mats of tiny bead-like leaves that create a soft ground cover. The foliage is bright green at first but can turn shades of coral red when exposed to full sun, drought, or cool temperatures. The small, rounded leaves pack tightly together, giving the plant a neat, carpet-like appearance.
This variety spreads steadily as it grows and is well suited for ground cover, green roofs, or rock gardens. In midsummer, it may produce clusters of small white, star-shaped flowers. It grows best outdoors in full sun with well-draining soil and is very drought tolerant once established. Propagation is easy by trimming a section of stem and replanting it to root.

  • Filtered / Partial Sun, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.

Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
