Sedum album 'Athoum'
-
Sedum album ‘Athoum’ is a low, spreading ground cover with thick, rounded green leaves that form dense mats. The leaves are slightly flattened on top, giving the plant a soft, bead-like texture. It spreads easily across soil and also looks attractive cascading over the edges of containers or stone walls.
During the warmer months, the foliage can develop reddish tones and the plant may produce clusters of tiny white flowers. This variety grows best outdoors in full sun with gritty, well-draining soil. It spreads quickly by branching stems and can be easily propagated by cutting a short piece of stem and replanting it. -
Filtered / Partial Sun, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
