Philodendron 'Neon'

  • The Philodendron 'Neon' (a vibrant cultivar of Philodendron hederaceum) is a show-stopping houseplant famous for its electric, lime-green foliage. The parent species is native to the tropical regions of Central America and the Caribbean.

Unlike many other heart-leaf philodendrons that feature deep greens, the 'Neon' brings a bold pop of high-visibility color to any indoor jungle, making it a favorite for high shelves and hanging baskets. It is known to help filter common indoor toxins like benzine and trichloroethylene from the air.

Toxic to dogs, cats, and humans if ingested.

  • Bright, indirect light is best to maintain the neon intensity. It can survive in low light, but the leaves may turn a duller green and the growth will become leggy.

Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil feel dry. It is relatively drought-tolerant but will show you it's thirsty by drooping its leaves slightly.

    Requires well-aerated, loose potting soil.

    The plant prefers temperatures between 65°F and 85°F (18°C - 29°C).

  • USDA Zone 10-11

    USDA Zone 9b: to -3.8 °C (25 °F)

    USDA Zone 10a: to -1.1 °C (30 °F)

    USDA Zone 10b: to 1.7 °C (35 °F)

    USDA Zone 11: above 4.5 °C (40 °F)
