Pachyveria 'Scheideckeri'
-
Pachyveria ‘Scheideckeri’ forms a loose rosette of thick, silvery blue leaves with a soft pastel appearance. The foliage is covered with a powdery layer of farina that gives the plant a frosted look and helps protect it in bright sunlight. When grown in strong light, the leaf edges can develop gentle pink tones that add warmth to the cool blue color.
This hybrid grows steadily and may develop short stems as it matures. It prefers bright light, very well-draining soil, and infrequent watering once the soil is dry. With time it can be easily propagated from stem cuttings, making it simple to grow new plants. -
Filtered / Partial Sun, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
