Pachyveria 'Bea'
-
Pachyveria ‘Bea’ forms a frosty, ice-blue rosette with upright, slightly pointed leaves. The leaves are thick and chunky, with soft flat edges and a powdery coating that gives the plant a cool, matte look. As it matures, the rosette can rise on a short stem, giving it a taller, more sculptural shape than many Echeveria types.
This plant grows at a steady pace and can change form over time as the stem lengthens. It produces tall flower stalks with small, bell-shaped blooms in shades of pink and orange. Pachyveria ‘Bea’ also responds well to being cut back, and new plants can easily grow from the removed stems or mature leaves.
-
Filtered / Partial Sun, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 50%-75% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
