Napoli Noire
-
Sinocrassula yunnanensis, also known as Napoli Noire or Chinese Jade, is a rare and eye-catching succulent loved for its dark, dramatic look. The compact rosettes are made up of thick, pointed leaves with a rough texture, giving the plant a bold, almost sculptural feel. In bright light, the color deepens from dark green to rich purple and near-black, creating a moody, slightly mysterious appearance that really stands out among lighter succulents.
This species grows low and tight, slowly forming dense clusters over time. Each rosette flowers once in its life with small yellow blooms, then makes room for new offsets to continue the growth.
-
Bright Indoor Light, Filtered / Partial Sun
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 50%-70% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
Non-toxic to dogs, cats, and horses (Pet-friendly).
