Mangave 'Wigging Out'

  •  Mangave are modern hybrids created by crossing Manfreda and Agave. These plants combine the bold, architectural shape of Agave with the colorful patterns of Manfreda. Their broad leaves are often covered with spots and markings, and in bright sunlight the foliage can develop rich shades of purple and red. Compared to traditional Agave, Mangave grow faster and have softer, less spiny leaves, making them easier to handle.
As they mature, Mangave form large, sculptural rosettes that add strong texture to containers or garden beds. They grow best in partial to full sun with well-draining soil. Mangave can handle a bit more shade and water than typical Agave, especially while establishing roots, and they prefer deep watering followed by a dry period between waterings.

  • Full Sun.

    Well-draining cactus mix.

Low. Use the "soak and dry" method. Water only when the soil is completely dry to the touch.
  • Zone 9-10
