Mangave 'Iron Man'

  • Mangave are modern succulent hybrids created by crossing Manfreda and Agave. They combine the bold rosette shape of Agave with the colorful patterns of Manfreda. Their leaves often show dark spots and markings, and in bright sunlight the foliage can develop rich shades of purple and red. Compared to traditional Agave, Mangave grow faster and have softer leaves with fewer sharp spines.              
    As they mature, Mangave form large, sculptural rosettes that add strong structure to containers and garden beds. They grow best in partial to full sun with well-draining, gritty soil. Mangave can tolerate slightly more shade and water than typical Agave, especially while they are establishing roots, but they still prefer the soil to dry between waterings.

  • Full Sun.

    Well-draining cactus mix. 

    Low. Use the "soak and dry" method. Water only when the soil is completely dry to the touch.
