Haworthia rubrobrunnea

  • Haworthiopsis rubrobrunnea is a slow-growing succulent with short stems stacked with spreading leaves. The leaves are deep green and covered with small raised bumps that form neat vertical lines along the surface. With bright light or mild drought stress, the foliage can develop warm copper to burgundy tones, adding rich color to its textured look.
Over time, this plant produces offsets around its base and can grow into a dense clump. It grows best in bright, indirect light but also tolerates lower indoor light, making it a great houseplant. It prefers well-draining soil and infrequent watering, allowing the soil to dry completely between waterings. Propagation is easy by separating and replanting the offsets.

  • Filtered / Partial Sun, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.

Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
