Echeveria pulvinata 'Frosty'

  •  ‘Frosty’ (Echeveria pulvinata var. frigida ‘Nova’) forms small rosettes covered in a soft, silvery, velvety coating that gives the plant a pale, fuzzy look. This protective layer helps shield it from strong sun in its native rocky habitats of Oaxaca. Beneath the rosettes, the stems are also fuzzy and can branch out, creating a gentle, textured appearance as the plant grows.
This plant grows steadily and stays relatively compact at the rosette level, while the stems slowly lengthen over time. It often blooms in winter, sending up arching stalks with many orange, bell-shaped flowers. ‘Frosty’ is easy to propagate from stem cuttings, which also makes it simple to keep the plant neat and well shaped.

  • Bright Indoor Light, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.

Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
