Echeveria 'Machete'
-
Echeveria ‘Machete’ is a rare and unusual succulent with a loose rosette of upright, silvery leaves. Many leaves have bumps, ridges, and small serrations that are not common in other Echeveria. As the plant ages, the leaves can become more irregular and may even split into multiple tips, giving it a wild and sculptural look. Its exact origin and parentage remain unknown.
This plant grows steadily and keeps an open rosette shape. Over time, it may produce small offsets around the base. Mature plants can also send up a flower stalk with bell-shaped blooms. It can be propagated from leaves or stem cuttings, though growth may be slower compared to common varieties. -
Bright Indoor Light, Filtered / Partial Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
