Echeveria Amnesty

  • Echeveria 'Amnesty' is a perennial succulent that belongs to the Crassulaceae family. It is a very old hybrid whose exact parentage remains a bit of a mystery, but it carries all the classic hallmarks of a premium Echeveria: a tight, lotus-like rosette of thick, fleshy leaves.

The true standout feature of Echeveria 'Amnesty' is its shimmering color palette. The leaves are coated in a thick layer of epicuticular wax (farina), which gives the plant a powdery, "glaucous" finish. This coating reflects light, making the plant look like it’s glowing in shades of ice blue, soft lavender, and plum purple with delicate pink edges.

In the spring and early summer, 'Amnesty' sends up slender, arching stalks that rise above the rosette. These stalks bear clusters of sunny yellow-to-orange bell-shaped flowers.

  • Needs bright, direct sunlight to maintain its compact shape and vibrant colors.

Requires well-draining cactus or succulent mix. A blend containing 50–70% mineral grit (like perlite, pumice, or coarse sand) is ideal to prevent moisture from sitting around the roots.

Use the "soak and dry" method. Water deeply until it runs out the drainage hole, then wait for the soil to dry out completely before watering again. Reduce watering significantly during the winter.

Feed lightly once or twice during the growing season with a diluted, low-nitrogen fertilizer. Overfeeding can cause leggy growth and weaken the plant.

Non-toxic and pet-safe! It is generally safe for cats, dogs, and horses.
