Crassula rupestris var. monticola

  • Crassula rupestris var. monticola is an easy-growing succulent with a unique, architectural shape. It forms long, narrow stems covered in thick, triangular leaves that spiral upward in a stacked pattern. The leaves are speckled green with bright reddish pink edges, creating strong contrast. In bright sunlight, the stems can grow up to about 9 inches long and gently trail over the edges of pots.
This plant grows as a small, branching shrub and can produce clusters of tiny white to pale pink flowers in spring. It prefers bright light and well-draining soil to stay compact and colorful. It can be propagated easily from stem cuttings, which root readily and help shape the plant as it grows.

  •  Bright Indoor Light, Filtered / Partial Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.

Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
