Chick Charmlettes Ollie Oddball
-
Chick Charmlettes Ollie Oddball forms small, compact rosettes with lively green leaves that can develop pink to reddish tones in bright sunlight. The rosettes keep a neat, symmetrical shape, and the color becomes richer with more sun, making it a playful and colorful addition to rock gardens or containers.
This variety grows mainly in spring and summer and produces many small offsets, often called “chicks,” on short stolons. Over time these offsets form dense clusters of rosettes. It grows best outdoors in full sun with gritty, well-draining soil, where the chicks can be left to create a tidy mat or separated and replanted to grow new plants. -
Filtered / Partial Sun, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
