Chick Charmlettes Nerdy Nelly
-
Chick Charmlettes Nerdy Nelly forms small, compact rosettes with bright green leaves often accented with rosy pink or red tones in strong sunlight. The neat, symmetrical shape and lively colors make it a charming choice for rock gardens, small containers, or mixed succulent arrangements.
This variety grows mainly in spring and summer and produces many small offsets, often called “chicks,” on short stolons. Over time these offsets create dense clusters of rosettes. It grows best outdoors in full sun with gritty, well-draining soil, where the chicks can be left to form a tidy mat or separated and replanted to grow new plants. -
Filtered / Partial Sun, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
