Chick Charmlettes Darlin' Dottie

  • Chick Charmlettes Darlin' Dottie forms small, tidy rosettes with soft green leaves often highlighted with pink to red tones in bright sunlight. The compact shape and gentle color changes give this variety a sweet, decorative look that works well in containers, rock gardens, or mixed succulent plantings.
This variety grows mainly in spring and summer and produces many offsets, often called “chicks,” on short stolons. Over time these offsets form dense clusters of rosettes. It grows best outdoors in full sun with gritty, well-draining soil, where the chicks can be left to create a neat mat or separated and replanted to grow new plants.

  •  Filtered / Partial Sun, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.

Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
