Chick Charmlettes Cheeky Charlie
-
Chick Charmlettes Cheeky Charlie forms small, compact rosettes with fresh green leaves that can develop warm pink to red tones in bright sunlight. The tidy, symmetrical shape and lively color changes give this variety a playful look that stands out in rock gardens, containers, or succulent arrangements.
This variety grows mainly in spring and summer and produces many small offsets, often called “chicks,” on short stolons. Over time these offsets form dense clusters of rosettes. It grows best outdoors in full sun with gritty, well-draining soil, where the chicks can be left to create a neat mat or separated and replanted to grow new plants. -
Filtered / Partial Sun, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
