Aloe 'Doran Black'
-
Aloe ‘Doran Black’ is a striking mosaic aloe with thick, bumpy leaves patterned in green and white. The leaves are broad and sturdy, lined with irregular teeth along the edges. In bright sunlight or slightly dry conditions, the foliage can take on rosy pink to copper tones, adding extra warmth to its bold texture.
This plant grows steadily and produces offsets easily around the base. Over time, these pups form a dense cluster, but they can also be separated and replanted to grow new plants. Mature plants may send up a flower stalk with tubular blooms. Propagation is simple by removing and replanting the offsets. -
Bright Indoor Light, Full Sun.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
